The Making of an American Truck | Exceptional Engineering

Trucks are to a great extent fueled by diesel motors, although small to medium size trucks with gas motors exist in the US, Canada, and Mexico. In the European Union, vehicles with a gross combination mass of up to 3.5 t (7,700 lb) are known as light business vehicles and those over as huge goods vehicles.

The Swedish automotive group Volvo has been delivering trucks for the North American market since the late 1970s. Every ten minutes, another truck moves off the mechanical production system, with a customized production line prepared to take into account individual customer requirements.
