An axe is an implement that has been used for centuries to shape, split and cut wood, to reap timber, as a weapon, and as a stately or heraldic image. The hatchet has many structures and concentrated uses, yet mostly comprise an axe head with a handle or helve.
Before the advanced axe, the stone-age hand axe was utilized from 1.5 million years BP without a handle. It was later attached to a wooden handle. The earliest examples of handled axe have headed of stone with some wooden handle connected (hafted) in a method to suit the accessible materials and use. Axes made of copper, bronze, iron, and steel showed up as these technologies developed. Axes are generally made of a head and a handle.
